Class Breakdown: Bard /Warlock 5 (The Hexblade)

Ethan Gong, also known as Hardcore Leveling Warrior, was a once top-ranked player in the virtual reality game Lucid Adventure. After losing all his stats and reputation in a sudden defeat, Ethan must climb back up from the bottom, using his wits, cunning, and ruthless strategies to survive. Despite his arrogant and self-centered personality, Ethan gradually learns the value of teamwork and trust as he embarks on a journey of redemption. This build of the Hardcore Leveling Warrior is of him battling the Red Player Party.

Bard is the starting class for Hardcore Leveling Warrior, giving him access to multiple skills, the ability to enhance his allies’ capabilities, and spells that he can use to mimic more of his talents. With Bard, he gains the proficiencies of Athletics, Investigation, Perception, Lute, Tantan, Pan Flute, Spellcasting, and Bardic Inspiration.

Warlock is where Hardcore Leveling Warrior gains a large portion of his combat potential being able to pick up Invocations that enhance his swordsmanship and spells that further mimic some of his skills from the game of Lucid Adventure. With Warlock he gains, Otherworldly Patron: Hexblade, Pact Magic, Eldritch Invocations of Eldritch Smite, Improved Pact Weapon, Thirsting Blade, and Pact Boon: Pact of the Blade. For Invocations take Agonizing Blast and Fiendish Vigor until you can swap them out for the ones mentioned previously.

Otherworldly Patron: The Hexblade is where Hardcore Leveling Warrior gains access to the full breadth of his Random Sword’s abilities, gifting him the ability to use his Cha for attack and damage. He also gains access to a plethora of weapon and defense-enhancing spells, martial weapon proficiencies, and Hexblade’s curse which further damages a foe’s potential in a fight. The Hexblade gives him Expanded Spell List, Hexblade’s Curse, and Hex Warrior.

The feat Lucky gives Hardcore Leveling Hero 3 luck points that he can use to roll another d20 die for an attack, ability, or saving throw and choose the higher of the two. He can also reroll a d20 roll made against you and choose which one is used against him.

The feat Fey Touched: Cha grants him a +1 to his Cha and the spells of Misty Step and Bless.

Background: Gambler gives Hardcore Leveling Warrior the proficiencies of Deception and Insight, Tool Proficiency of Playing Card Set, Language of Undercommon, and the Background Feature of Never Tell Me the Odds.

Equipment: Longsword. Leather Armor, a Dagger, a Lyre, an Entertainer’s Pack, and Gambler Starting Equipment.
