Blood-Red Commander Igris is the loyal and fearsome knight of the Shadow Monarch, renowned for his silent but imposing presence and unmatched prowess in battle. As one of the highest-ranking shadows in Sung Jin-Woo’s army, Igris radiates unwavering discipline and deadly precision, wielding his crimson greatsword with masterful skill. Once a powerful knight in life, his reanimation as a shadow only amplified his strength and tenacity, making him a relentless force on the battlefield. Though he lacks a voice, his actions speak volumes, displaying unwavering loyalty and an indomitable will to protect his master at all costs. This build of Igris emphasizes his overwhelming melee strength and unshakable defense, embodying the perfect fusion of honor, power, and unrelenting resolve.

The three things that I wanted to achieve in this build are:

  1. Incredible Swordsmanship
  2. Armored Unarmed Combatant
  3. Telekinetic Hands on Tap.

Background

For Background, I chose Knight of the Order for Igris. This represents his loyal knightly service to the Shadow Monarch in both life and death. He gains the skills of Persuasion, History, the Language of Undercommon, the Tool Proficiency of Hand Drum, and the Background Feature of Knightly Regard.

Race

For Race, I chose Lineage: Reborn for Igris. With this race, he gains + 1 to Int, Str, and Con. Size: Medium, Language: Elvish, Ancestral Legacy: Insight and Perception, Deathless Nature, Knowledge from a Past Life.

Igris’ class breakdown is Fighter 6(Psi Warrior). It is with this class that Igris gains access to impressive martial weapons training, heavy armor usage, and devastating unarmed fighting potential, all of which is further enhanced by his incredible telekinetic power. This combination of class and feats is the best attempt to consolidate his abilities and talents at this level.

Fighter 1 is the starting class for Igris, where he gains access to the start of his combat training that he uses to subdue the foes of the shadow monarch. At this level, he gains Proficiencies in Athletics and Intimidation, Fighting Style: Great Weapon Fighting, and Second Wind.

Fighter 2 grants him the ability to push his limits and take another action in a round. With this level, he gains Action Surge.

Fighter 3 is where Igris gains his telekinetic prowess that he uses to unleash untold levels of destruction on his foes with the Martial Archetype of Psi Warrior. With Psi Warrior, he gains access to Psionic Power, allowing him to augment both his defenses as well as his damage while giving him the added ability to move Large or smaller objects and creatures with his mind alone.

Fighter 4 gifts Igris with the ability to unleash pain with not only his longsword but with unarmed and improvised weapons as well, the feat Tavern Brawler. This feat gives him +1 to Str, proficiency with improvised weapons, a d4 to his unarmed strikes, and a bonus action to grapple a foe when an unarmed strike or improvised weapon strike is landed on a foe.

Fighter 5 continues to build up Igris’ fighting potential with the feature Extra Attack. This, coupled with Action Surge, can give him up to 4 attacks in a round to lay waste to his foes. It also increases the power of his Psionic Energy Dice to d8s.

Fighter 6 is the final level for Igris, giving him access to a new feat of Mobile. With Mobile, Igris’ speed increases by 10 ft. He now gains the ability to dash over difficult terrain without losing movement, and when he attacks a foe, he can break away without provoking an attack of opportunity.

With full use of Igris’ powers, he can perform the following techniques via class features and abilities:

  • Dominator’s Touch- Telekinetic Movement
  • Regeneration– Second Wind

This combination of feats, stats, and abilities makes this DND build of Blood-Red Commander Igris an unrelenting engine of martial dominance, cleaving through foes with spectral precision and unwavering loyalty in Six Levels or Less.
