Lubbock is the jovial book store-owning, wise-cracking lover of the female form. He is the user of the Teigu Infinite Uses: Cross Tails which he uses his creative mind in a ton of devastating ways. Despite his perverted nature, he holds Najenda as someone he adores and does everything he can to please her. This build of Lubbock keeps tabs on his female allies and unleashes binding coils of devastation on his enemies during the series.

Class Bard 4(College of Lore)/Warlock 2(The Hexblade)

The three things that I wanted to achieve in this build are:

  1. Creative Book Learning.
  2. Feign Death Maestro.
  3. Creative Enemy Culling.

Background

For Background, I chose Spy for Lubbock. He gains the skills of Stealth and Investigation, Tool Proficiencies of Thieves’ Tools and Dice Set, and the Background Feature of Criminal Contact. This represents Lubbock’s skills as a former soldier under Najenda as well as his ability to hide and gather information with his cover as a bookstore owner.

Race

For Race, I chose Variant Human for Lubbock. With this race, he gains + 1 to Dex and Cha, Feat: Fey Touched (Cha) w/ Hex spell, and Skills: Athletics.

Class

Lubbock’s class breakdown is Bard 4(College of Lore)/Warlock 2(The Hexblade). It is with these classes, that Lubbock gains access to impressive combat abilities, a ton of skills he uses to gather information, as well as spells and features that have multiple uses limited by his imagination. This combination of classes and feats is the best attempt to consolidate her abilities and talents at this level.

Bard 1 is the starting class for Lubbock. This class gives him the proficiencies of Deception, Sleight of Hand, Perception, Pan Flute, Hand Drum and Lyre, Spellcasting, and Bardic Inspiration.

Bard 2 enhances his repertoire of skills and features that help to revitalize his allies. With this level, he gains Jack of All Trades and Song of Rest.

Bard 3 grants Lubbock the ability to throw off his foes with his flippant back talk and a greater range of knowledge to pull more ideas from with the Bardic College of Lore. and Expertise in Deception and Sleight of Hand. College of Lore empowers Lubbock with Bonus Proficiencies of Insight, Arcana, and Medicine as well as Cutting Words.

Bard 4 gifts Lubbock with the feat Spell Sniper. This feat gives him a doubled spell range for any spell that requires an attack roll, ignores half cover and three-quarters cover, and the cantrip of Booming Blade from the Sorcerer spell list.

Warlock 1 is the level where Lubbock gains more of his abilities that mimic his Teigu-Infinite Uses: Cross Tail. Warlock: The Hexblade gives him access to the features of Pact Magic, Hexblade’s Curse, and Hex Warrior.

Warlock 2 is the final level for Lubbock. With this level, he gains Eldritch Invocations of Grasp of Hadar and Armor of Shadows.

With full use of Lubbock’s powers, he can perform the following techniques via class features and abilities:

  • Infinite Uses: Cross Tail-
    • Armor of Chords– Armor of Shadows + Armor of Agathys spell
    • Chord Spear– Eldritch Blast spell + Grasp of Hadar + Hexblade’s Curse
    • Barrier of ChordsCloud of Daggers spell or Web spell(Wand of Web)
    • Realm-Cutting Thread– Lightning Lure spell
  • Feign Death– Deception expertise + Silvery Barbs (if necessary)
  • Shambhala- Misty Step spell

This combination of feats, stats, and spells makes this DND build of Lubbock a creative mastermind of tactics and deception capable of undermining and defeating any foe in his line of fire in Six Levels or Less.
