Class Breakdown: Barbarian 1/Monk 5 (Way of the Kensei)

Osaragi is the newest member of a group of incredibly powerful assassins called the Order. She is a tall woman with incredible durability, impressive strength, and an apathetic nature capable of dispatching any foe she targets. Armed with her collapsible buzzsaw, Osaragi can make mincemeat out of her target in seconds.

Barbarian is the starting class for Osaragi, giving her incredible durability and enhancing her overall strength when she chooses to up the tempo in a fight. With Barbarian she gains the proficiencies of Survival and Athletics, Rage, and Unarmored Defense (Con).

Monk is where she gains the bulk of her fighting abilities, defensive mobility, and stunning attacks. With Monk, she gains Unarmored Defense (Wis), Martial Arts, Ki, Unarmored Movement, Deflect Missiles, Slow Fall, Extra Attack, and Stunning Strike.

Monastic Tradition: Way of the Kensei gives Osaragi her ability to use a large bladed weapon weaved in between her unarmed strikes, further increasing her defense and ranged attack damage and skills in Calligraphy. Path of the Kensei grants her with Kensei Weapons: Battleaxe and Dart, Agile Parry, Kensei’s Shot, and Way of the Brush: Calligrapher’s Supplies.

The feat of Crusher gives her a +1 to her Str, pushes a foe back 5 feet when she deals bludgeoning damage and allows advantage to be gained on a foe if she lands a critical strike.

The feat of Martial Adept gives her the special combat maneuvers of Parry and Grappling Strike.

The feat of Strike of the Giants (Cloud Giant) gives her the ability to strike a foe with an extra 1d4 thunder damage and if the foe fails a wisdom saving throw she becomes invisible until the start of her next turn or immediately after an attack or cast a spell.

Background: Giant Foundling gives Osaragi the skill proficiencies of Intimidation and Religion, the Languages of Giant and Undercommon, and the Background Feature of Strike of the Giants.

Equipment: Battleaxe, 2 Handaxes, 4 Javelins an explorer’s pack, and Giant Foundling Starting Equipment.
