Class Breakdown: Monk 5 (Way of the Astral Self)/ Bard 1
Ryomen Sukuna, known simply as Sukuna has the fearsome reputation of being not only the strongest sorcerer ever but also known as the “King of Curses”. His is the ability to dissect any technique he sees and develop countermeasures against them no matter how powerful the user is. In his Heian Era form, he sported 2 sets of arms and 2 faces which he used to decimate any being foolish enough to get in his way. This build of Sukuna is him at the power rating of 3 of his fingers.
Monk is the starting class for Sukuna granting him his mastery of hand-to-hand fighting and his incredible battlefield movement. With Monk, he gains proficiencies of Insight, Athletics and Cook’s Utensils, Unarmored Defense, Martial Arts, Ki, Unarmored Movement, Deflect Missiles, Slow Fall, Extra Attack, and Stunning Strike.
Monastic Tradition: Way of the Astral Self is where Sukuna gains his Innate Techniques such as Dismantle and Cleave. Way of the Astral Self grants him the feature of Arms of the Astral Self allowing him to unleash an area effect damage strike when the arms are first summoned, use his Wis score in place of Str for Strength checks and saving throws, increase reach by 5 feet, deal damage and attack with the Wis modifier as well as deal force damage with the spectral arms.
Bard is where Sukuna gains more of his techniques in the form of spells. With Bard, he gains the proficiencies of Arcana and Hand Drum, Spellcasting, and Bardic Inspiration.
The feat of Gift of the Gem Dragon (Wis) increases Sukuna’s Wis by +1 and allows him to deal damage to a foe and push them back 10 feet as a reaction if he takes damage from a foe.
Background: Prismari Student gives him the skill proficiencies of Acrobatics and Performance, Tool Proficiency: Leatherworker’s Tools, the Language of Elvish, and the Background Feature of Prismari Initiate which gives him the feat of Strixhaven Initiate. This feat gives him access to more spells that represent his Immeasurable Cursed Energy ability.
Equipment: Shortsword, 10 Darts, an explorer’s pack, and Prismari Student Starting Equipment.
