Sanjouno Haruhime is the foxy renard female beauty formerly of the Ishtar Familia and is now a maid and sorcerer supporter for the Hestia Familia. She was originally a sheltered noble’s daughter from the far east but due to many trials, she eventually was led to a life of prostitution for the Ishtar Familia. She is a lover of stories especially ones that involve a damsel being rescued by a hero. It is this love of stories that she shares with Bell Cranel. She also shares a great friendship with Makoto and the other members of Takemikazuchi Familia as well as a sisterly relationship with Aisha Belka. Hers is the power to increase the level of an adventure, increasing their ability to fight beyond their current limitations at the cost of gaining less excelia. Initially, she could only use her power to enhance one target but upon finding herself increasing her potential during the Hestial Familia’s expedition, Haruhime now has the power to enhance multiple familia members. This build of Sanjouno is her at the right before their epic battle against the floor boss Amphisbeana.

Class Sorcerer 5 (Clockwork Soul)/Cleric 1 (Peace Domain)

The three things that I wanted to achieve in this build are:

  1. Empowering, Leveling Experience.
  2. Multiple Team Enhancements.
  3. Fox About Town.

Background

For Background, I chose Far Traveler but Noble would also work as well. She gains the Skills of Insight, Perception, Tool Proficiencies of Flute, and the Background Feature of All Eyes on You.

Race

For Race, I chose Shifter. With this race, she gains +2 to Cha and + 1 to Dex, Bestial Instincts: Acrobatics, Darkvision, and Shifting: Swiftstride. Swiftstride gives her the ability to increase her walking speed by 10 feet as well as being able to move up to 10 feet as a reaction when a creature ends its turn within 5 feet of her without provoking opportunity attacks.

Class

Haruhime’s class breakdown is a combination of two classes, Sorcerer 5 (Clockwork Soul)/ Cleric 1 (Peace Domain). It is with these classes that Haruhime gains access to powerful enhancement spells, abilities that enhance and protect her fellow party members as well as numerous ways to enhance her spellcasting potential with metamagic options and sorcery points. This combination of classes and feats is the best attempt to consolidate her abilities and talents at this level.

Sorcerer 1 is the starting class for Sanjouno Haruhime. This gives her the Proficiencies of Arcana and Persuasion, Spellcasting, Sorcerous Origin: Clockwork Soul, Clockwork Magic, and Restore Balance. Restore Balance is used to protect an ally from enemies who have advantage or keep an ally from being affected by disadvantage.

Cleric 1 is where she picks up the features of Spellcasting, Divine Domain: Peace, Domain Spells: heroism and sanctuary, Implement of Peace: Performance, and Emboldening Bond. With Emboldening Bond she can create a magical bond with each ally to give them a d4 to add to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw once per round.

Sorcerer 2 is where Haruhime gains access to the feature Font of Magic. This mimics her Mage Development Ability.

Sorcerer 3 gifts Haruhime the features of Metamagic: Twinned Spell and Extended Spell as well as the extra spells of Aid and Lesser Restoration. Twinned Spell allows her to cast a spell and affect two targets at the same time while Extended Spell can double the duration of a spell up to a maximum of 24 hours.

Sorcerer 4 is where she gains the Feat: Metamagic Adept: Quickened Spell and Careful Spell as well as 2 sorcery points. Now she can cast a spell that takes an action as a bonus action or cast a spell that allows those she selects to automatically succeed on the saving throw.

Sorcerer 5 is the final level for Haruhime with access to 3rd-level spells and the bonus spells of Dispel Magic and Protection from Energy.

With full use of Haruhime’s powers, she can perform the following techniques via class features and abilities:

  • Uchide No Kozuchi- Emboldening Bond + Extended Metamagic + Heroism or Haste spell
  • Kokonoe- Emboldening Bond + Twinned or Extended Metamagic + Heroism/Haste/Protection from Evil Spell
  • Mikuzumenohou- Metamagic + Font of Magic Features
  • Mage– Metamagic Feature

This combination of feats, stats, and spells makes this DND build of Sanjouno Haruhime a bulwark of empowering enhancements that enables her allies to decimate any foe foolish enough to stand in their way in Six levels or Less.
