Bellona is the forsaken third child of Lord Titus and Lady Johanna Lictus in Balder’s Gate. She was left to be raised by her nurse maid Tallia and her family. Once she was of age she was ushered off to join the Knights of the Unicorn locally based in the inn called Helm and Cloak. She joined the order and spent her time training and learning to fight. Her style of sword play and speed of her attacks earned her the nickname of Ildriss Bellona after the fearsome creature known as the Wind Terror.

The three things that I wanted to achieve with this build are:
- Flurry of attacks in a round.
- Powerful defensive abilities.
- High damage potential.
Race
For Race of this build I chose Zariel Tiefling. With this variant of tiefling you gain darkvision of 60′, resistance to fire damage, stat increases for Cha and Str, and access to the spells thaumaturgy, searing smite and branding smite. The Legacy of Avernus adds to the damage potential needed later in the build.
Background
For Background I chose Knight of the Order. This background grants her the skills of Persuasion and Nature, the language of Elvish and Tool Proficiency of Lute. She also gains the feature of Knightly Regard which gives her help from those who are sympathetic to her order.
Class
For the Class make up of this build I went with a combination of Fighter 1 and Monk 5 (Way of the Kensei). With this combination she gets skilled use in using a one handed weapon and maximizes the amount of attacks that can be levied in a single round.
Fighter 1 is the starting class for Bellona. With this level she gains Acrobatics and Insight, Fighting Style Dueling and Second Wind
The rest of Bellona’s build is Monk levels 1 to 5 (Way of the Kensei)
Monk 1 gifts Bellona with the abilities of Unarmored Defense and Martial Arts. At this level she is in between worlds with her martial training and this new unarmed and unarmored manner of fighting.
Monk 2 now reveals the fruits of Bellona’s training with the features of Ki and Unarmored Movement. Now she has the ability to manipulate a new mystic energy and has grown faster from not being hindered by armored.
Monk 3 is where Bellona becomes a Kensei. She gains the features of Deflect Missiles, Path of the Kensei training in Painter’s Supplies, and using a Longsword and Longbow with her new fighting style.
Monk 4 is a stabilizing level for Bellona. She gains the ability to Slow Fall and seeks to strengthen her will and fleetness of reflexes with Ability Score improvement of Wis and Dex by 1.
Monk 5 is the last part of this portion in Bellona’s career with the abilities of Extra Attack and Stunning Strike. Now she has the ability to attack up to a maximum of four attacks a round with the uses of Ki. With her new abilities and her racial powers, Bellona has the capability of devastating any foe that stands before her.
