A lithe figure dancing in the light and heat with such a fury that they melt all their foes in their brilliance. This character embraces the ability to punish their foes with radiant energy. She has trained to harness this power to keep from hurting her friends while punishing her foes with this light from within.

The three things that I wanted to achieve with this build are:

  1. The ability to fry your enemies with as much radiant damage as you can.
  2. Sculpting your damage to protect your friends.
  3. Dancing to your own beat.

For the Race of this build I went Scourge Aasimar. This subrace of Aasimar gives us the extra radiant damage we crave for this build in the form of Radiant Consumption. Fortunately, she is resistant to radiant damage so she will be able to withstand her own AOE while withering down her opponents.

For Background I choose Entertainer. This allows her access to Acrobatics and Performance with the Disguise kit and a Hand Drum. These proficiencies will serve her well as she lights up the battlefield with her warmth and all consuming light.

For the Class make up of this build I chose Cleric 4(Light Domain)/ Wizard 2 (School of Evocation). Cleric gives this character access to more radiant energy as well as amazing defensive capabilities. The two levels in Wizard represent her being trained to harm her companions less and her foes more.

Cleric 1 is the beginning career for Nespira. It is with this class that she learns to harness the light gifted to her by the gods. For skills I went for Insight and Persuasion. As part of the light domain she gains warding flare which blinds those who would do you harm gifting them with disadvantage to assaulting her within 30 feet. For levels two and three Nespira will go wizard with school of evocation being her primary focus during this time. It is with these two levels that she will gain Arcane Recovery , which is good for gaining a slot during a short rest, as well as Evocation Savant and Sculpt Spells. Sculpt Spells is what will allow her to keep from harming her friends should they be caught in the effects of her more destructive spells.

Once her formal school has been concluded levels four to six will be with a return to clerical studies. At Cleric 2 Channel Divinity:Radiance of the Dawn allows her to harm hostile creatures with a powerful burst of Radiant damage. This ability paired with Radiant Consumption can devestate large swaths of enemies and finish off the ones who did not die from your initial blast from Radiance of the Dawn. At Cleric 4 the feat of War Caster will serve to maintain spells while in the heat of combat as well as cast spells when hands are busied by weapons or shields in them.
