Maki Zenin, the non-sorcerer eldest twin of Mai from the Zenin Clan, is a major supporting character in Jujutsu Kaisen. Hers is a story of overcoming expectations and shackles placed upon her by her powerful sorcerer family and the heavenly restriction that leaves her with little cursed energy. She fights to become a legendary jujutsu sorcerer as well as one day lead the Zenin clan. She is a second-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High and is seen as a role model for first-year students to learn from. This build of Maki Zenin is her at the end of the Kyoto Goodwill Event after the battle with the special grade cursed spirit Hanami.

The three things that I wanted to achieve in this build are:
- Close Combat Goddess.
- Body of Steel.
- One with the Blade.
Background
For Background, I chose Haunted One for Maki. She gains the skills of Investigation and Arcana, languages of Undercommon and Infernal, and the Background Feature of Heart of Darkness. This represents her tragic backstory of dealing with her family as well as becoming a Jujutsu sorcerer attending Tokyo Jujutsu High.
Race
For Race, I chose Goliath for Maki. With this race, she gains + 1 to Con, Dex and Wis, Little Giant, Mountain Born, and Stone’s Endurance. The key feature of this race is Stone’s Endurance since it represents Maki’s ability to absorb devastating attacks that would kill lesser mortals.
Class
Maki’s class breakdown is Monk 6 (Way of the Kensei). It is with this class that Maki Zenin gains access to incredible fighting skills, impressive mobility and defensive abilities, and fierce damage potential using every weapon in her arsenal. This combination of classes and feats is the best attempt to consolidate her abilities and talents at this level.
Monk 1 is the starting class for Maki Zenin. This class gives her the skills of Insight and Acrobatics and the tool proficiency of Smith’s Tools, Unarmored Defense, and Martial Arts.
Monk 2 is where Maki gains the ability to increase her fighting prowess and movement speed. At this level, she gets the features of Ki and Unarmored Movement.
Monk 3 marks the next step in Maki’s power progression with the Monastic Tradition of Way of the Kensei and Deflect Missiles. Path of the Kensei gives her the Kensei Weapons of Longword and Dart, Way of the Brush: Calligrapher’s Supplies. Now, she can deal more damage with a dart once per round while gaining a +2 to AC while holding her longsword in hand after making an unarmed attack.
Monk 4 gifts her with the feat Martial Adept: Disarming Attack and Evasive Footwork and Slow Fall. With the feat, she can disarm an opponent on a successful attack as well as increase her AC while on the move around the battlefield.
Monk 5 grants her Extra Attack and Stunning Strike. This increases her damage potential as well as the ability to inflict the stunned condition on a foe.
Monk 6 is the final level for Maki with the features of Ki-Empowered Strikes, Unarmored Movement, One with the Blade, and Kensei Weapon: Spear. With these features, she now can turn any of her Kensei weapons or unarmed strike into a magical weapon for overcoming resistances, unleash extra damage and move at a speed of 45 feet
With full use of Maki’s power, she can perform the following technique(s) via class features and abilities:
- Heavenly Restriction – Little Giant + Stone’s Endurance + Monk
This combination of feats, stats, and no spells makes this DND build of Maki Zenin a juggernaut of unrestricted raw power capable of turning foes into chaffe at the edge of any weapon she brings to bear in Six Levels or Less.
