Ais Wallenstein, known as Both the Sword Princess and War Princess is considered one of the strongest amongst the top tier of adventures in Orario and one of the top executives in the Loki Familia. Ais’ life is dedicated to becoming stronger, seeking to gain the strength necessary to topple the One-Eyed Black Dragon that took her mother from her as a young child. She has spent her life training alongside her fellow familia members often overexerting her body during her training. It was during these times that her close relationship with Riveria enabled her to overcome any rough patches in her life. For the first time in her life, she has gained a growing interest in another adventurer, that being the main protagonist Bell Cranel. It is this deepening bond between the two that starts to change Ais emotionally, gaining a passion that she has never experienced before. Whenever Bell is endangered Ais will use every ounce of her titanic and tempestuous power to battle to his side. This build of Ais is shortly after she has defeated the floor boss Udaeus and gained her new Level 6 abilities.

The three things that I wanted to achieve in this build are:
- Powered by the Wind.
- Damaging Dueling Style
- Avenging Aerial
Background
For Background, I chose Knight of the Order for Ais. She gains the Skills of Arcana, Persuasion, Tool Proficiency of Flute, Language of Sylvan, and the Background Feature of Knightly regard. This represents her membership in the Loki Familia.
Race
For Race, I chose Custom Lineage but Variant Human would also work. With this race, she gains + 2 to Cha, Size: Medium, Feat: Piercer +1 to Dex, and Variable Trait: Perception. The feat Piercer is key here since it enhances her fighting style
Class
Ais’ class breakdown is a combination of two classes, Ranger 5 (Monster Slayer)/Sorcerer 1 (Storm Sorcery). It is with these classes that Ais Wallenstein gains access to powerful features to destroy monstrous foes, enhanced senses to track her quarries, evasive aerial defenses, and destructive wind-based offense. This combination of classes and feats is the best attempt to consolidate her abilities and talents at this level.
Ranger 1 is the starting class for Ais Wallenstein. With this level she gains the skills of Athletics, Investigation, and Survival, Favored Enemy: Dragons with the language of Draconic, and the Natural Explorer: Underdark. Her Favorite Enemy feature represents her hatred for the dragon that took her mother, while the Natural Explorer represents the dungeon where the adventurers go to fight the monsters.
Sorcerer 1 is where Ais gains access to Spellcasting, Sorcerous Origin: Storm Sorcery, Wind Speaker, and Tempestuous Magic. The key feature is Tempestuous Magic since it gives her the ability to fly up to 10 feet before or after she cast a spell of 1st level or higher, mimicking some of her Ariel abilities.
Ranger 2 gifts her with the Fighting Style: Dueling and Spellcasting.
Ranger 3 grants her the Ranger Archetype of Monster Slayer and Primeval Awareness. With Monster Slayer she gains Monster Slayer Magic spells of Protection from Evil and Good and Zone of Truth at levels 3 and 5, Hunter’s Sense, and Slayer’s Prey. These features give Ais the ability to deal extra damage to her foe, determine how best to harm an enemy, and spells to help in monster hunting.
Ranger 4 increases her combat potential with the feat Tavern Brawler. With this feat, she gains +1 to Con, proficiency with improvised weapons, d4 for her unarmed strikes, and the ability to grapple a foe as a bonus action when she strikes a foe.
Ranger 5 is Ais’s final level with the Extra Attack feature. Now, she gains an extra attack during a round when she uses the attack action.
With full use of Ais’ powers, she can perform the following techniques via class features and abilities:
- Expert Swordsman– Piercer feat + Dueling Fighting Style + Tavern Brawler
- Hieroglyphs– Celestial Language
- Ariel– Offense Usage: Gust, Zephyr Strike, Booming Blade, Sword Burst, Thunderwave Spells, Defensive Usage: Expeditious Retreat, Gust, Blade Ward, Absorb Elements Spells + Primeval Awareness to use as her ability to sense foes through subtle changes in wind + Tempestuous Magic feature
- Lil Rafaga– Piercer feat + Zephyr Strike spell + Dueling fighting style
- Avenger– Hunter’s Mark Spell + Hunter’s Senses feature + Slayer’s Prey feature + Favored Enemy: Dragons
- Mind Load– Hex Warrior
- Hunter- Hunter’s Mark + Hunter’s Sense+ Slayer’s Prey
- Abnormal Resistance– Absorb Elements Spell
This combination of feats, stats, and spells makes this DND build of Ais Wallenstein a tumult of tornadic termination against any monster that threatens the lives of those she holds dear in Six Levels or Less.
