Str 16 Dex 13 Con 16 Int 8 Wis 13 Cha 9 (after racial abilities and feats)
Background: Soldier with Insight and Acrobatics, Tool Proficiencies of Vehicles (Land), Dice Set, and Background Feature of Military Rank.
Half-Orc gives him +2 to Str and +1 to Con, Darkvision, Menacing, Relentless Endurance, and Savage Attacks.

The marked warrior, Spartan Captain, and the Ghost of Sparta; Kratos is a peerless warrior gifted with tremendous abilities, skills, and a fierce rage that he unleashes upon anyone he calls an enemy. This build of Kratos is him during his ten years in service to the gods at the very beginning of God of War.
Ranger gives him the proficiencies of Athletics, Investigation, and Perception, Favored Enemy: Celestial, Natural Explorer: Mountain, Spellcasting, Primeval Awareness, Feat: Dual Wielder, and Extra Attack.
The Ranger Archetype of Hunter grants this build of Kratos several of his abilities that allow him to decimate his foes in melee combat. Hunter’s Prey: Horde Breaker allows an extra weapon attack on an enemy within 5 feet of an original opponent. This gives Kratos up to four attacks in a round. Combined with the spells of Absorb Elements, Hunter’s Mark, Goodberry, and Zephyr Strike, Kratos will be able to mimic a host of his abilities that he uses throughout most of the first games’ battles.
Barbarian is where Kratos gains access to his great rage with the feature Rage as well as enhancing his AC from Unarmored Defense.
