Delilah was a young child who dreamed of being a knight of the realm, often attempting to clash sticks with her fellow children in her village. Her mother tamped down her natural inclinations and pushed her towards more prudent pursuits, often treating the young girl with being sent to a nunnery if she continued to disobey. Feeling frustrated with her lot in life she chose to join the local thieves guild, starting off as a lookout and growing into an accomplished pickpocket and breaking and entering artist. She was eventually handpicked to sneak into an old storage facility located at the foot of an old wizard’s tower to bring back a blackened tome wrapped in a metallic scarf. Deftly evading the traps and creatures that call this old facility their home, she made her way to the room where the book was. She barely got out of the room with her life, sustaining life-threatening wounds from viscous mites that had taken over the room. Her blood dropped on the book, turning the metal scarf red and attaching her to the book with the scarf as a chain. Words reached into her mind and granted her power to battle her way through the facility until she emerged victorious yet changed from the experience. She took the treasure from the facility and used it to garner enough equipment to fashion herself as a self-styled knight and work towards becoming the knight of her dreams. Now, she is known as Delilah the Primrose Knight, the eldritch fighter of the realm.

Str 10 Dex 16 Con 12 Int 9 Wis 10 Cha 16 (racial and feat adjustment)
The three things that I wanted to achieve with this build are:
- Self-Styled Armored Knight
- Infiltration Expert and Pickpocket Extraordinaire.
- Secrets Power from a Book.
Race
For the Race of this build, I went with Variant Human. With Variant Human she gains Language: Elvish, +1 Dex and +1 to Cha, Skill: Sleight of Hand, Feat: War Caster. Though Warcaster will not come in handy until later in the build if you do get your hands on a scroll or a ring of spell storing the advantage on concentration will be handy.
Background
For Background, I chose Knight of the Order. This gives her the skills of Persuasion and Arcana, Tool Proficiency: Playing Card Set, the Language of Undercommon, and the Background Feature of Knightly Regard.
Class
For the Class makeup of this build, I went with a mix of Rogue 2/ Warlock 4 (Hexblade). With this combination of classes, she gains the ability of strong defenses via Cunning Action and Hex Warrior, a myriad of skills, spells, and debuffs of unique design from the warlock class, and the guiding powers granted to her from the Pact of Tome.
Rogue 1 is the beginning of this build with the skills of Perception, Stealth, Athletics and Insight, Expertise in Athletics and Sleight of Hand, Sneak Attack, and Thieves’ Cant.
Rogue 2 is where Delilah picks up the features of Cunning Action. This allows her to use her bonus action to Dash, Disengage, or Hide.
Warlock 1 grants her Otherworldly Patron: Hexblade, Pact Magic, Expanded Spell List, Hexblade’s Curse, and Hex Warrior.
Warlock 2 is where she picks up Eldritch Invocations: Agonizing Blast and Fiendish Vigor. Eventually, you will swap out Fiendish Vigor for Aspect of the Moon come Warlock level 3.
Warlock 3 when Delilah is gifted a powerful boon from her patron in the form of a Book of Shadows from the Pact of the Tome. With Pact of the Tome, she gains the spells of Spare the Dying, Gust, and Vicious Mockery. She also gains the ability to forgo sleep and cannot be forced to sleep.
Warlock 4 is the final level for this build with the feat: Medium Armor Master. This gives her the ability to Stealth without the disadvantage of wearing medium armor and the ability to increase her dexterity bonus to +3 when wearing medium armor.
