Zamine is a tiefling who grew up in the streets after running away from her family for being told she was never wanted. She seduced a cruel night guard and knocked him out in the middle of their affair. She then stole his gear and left town with everything she could sell quickly. Since then she has become a wanderer going from town to town as a sell-sword and adventurer. Her infernal heritage caught up with her and now has manifested as a warlock pact granting her new powers and problems.

Race: Mephistopheles Tiefling, +2 Cha, +1 Int, Darkvision, Hellish Resistance, Legacy of Cania

Stats (27- point buy)

The three things that I wanted to achieve with this build are:

  1. Magical Archery Girl
  2. Long range scouting.
  3. Various means of Arcane Destruction.

Race

For Race of this build I went Mephistopheles Tiefling. With this Tiefling race she gets Darkvision 60′, Hellish Resistance, and Legacy of Cania. Legacy of Cania gives Zamine mage hand with burning hands at third level and flame blade at level five.

Background

For Background I chose Urchin. This background grants her the skills of Sleight of Hand and Stealth, and tool proficiencies of Disguise Kit and Thieves’ Tools. She also gains the feature of City Secrets which allows her to travel quickly through cityscapes using passages and urban sprawl.

Class

For the Class make up of this build I went with Fighter 5 (Arcane Archer)/ Warlock 1 (The Fiend). This combination gives her capable healing options, archer supremacy, scouting ability, and multiple types of energy attacks.

Fighter 1 is the starting class for Zamine. With this level she gains Perception, Insight. She gains the Fighting Style of Archery and the self heal of Second Wind.

From levels two to five she continues her path to become an Arcane Archer. She gains Action Surge, Arcane Archer Lore, Arcane Shot with options, the Feat of Sharpshooter, and Extra Attack. With Arcane Archer Lore she grabs the skill Arcana and the cantrip of Prestidigitation. The Arcane Archer Shot options that she goes for is Piercing Arrow and Bursting Arrow. The first gives her an assassin styled phase attack that doesn’t require an attack roll. The other gives her an AOE option with a force damage component.

The last level for Zamine’s build is Warlock 1 (The Fiend). With this one dip she gains more cantrips, a few spells and a temporary hit points.
