Roberdyck Goltron is the human cleric of the team Foresight. He is a gentle and kind man who seeks to heal those who cannot afford to heal themselves. He is more of a melee oriented cleric who buffs then wades into the battlefield.

Class 6 Cleric (War)
The three things that I wanted to achieve in this build are:
- Flail using effective melee.
- Buffer and Healer with level 3 spells.
- A wise man with divine knowledge.
Race
For the race I choose Variant human. With variant human you get a free language, two ability scores increases, one free skill, and one free feat. For Roberdyck I went with elvish for the language, increases to Con and Wis by 1, Persuasion as the free skill, and War Caster feat. War Caster will be helpful when weaving in and out of the thick of combat.
Background
For Background I went with Acolyte since he has been a dedicated healer for the bulk of his life before he became a Worker. This is where he picks up the skills of History, Medicine and the languages of Celestial and Draconic. This background emphasizes he clerical training and knowledge base before becoming a full cleric.
Class
For Roberdyck’s Class breakdown I went with what felt closes to him which is six levels of cleric (War domain). Another option is Paladin 1/ Cleric 5 (War domain) which fits well too.
With Cleric 1 Roberdyck gains Religion and Insight for skills. With the War domain you gain the bonus of martial weapons and heavy armor which only boost his ability to stand on the front lines. The big pick up for this level is War Priest. It is with War Priest that you gain the ability to take a second attack a number of times per day with a reset at long rest.
Cleric 2 he gains Channel Divinity in two ways. Option one gives him the classic cleric ability to Turn Undead. Option two is Guided Strike. This option grants you a +10 to hit an enemy and you can use it after you see your roll but before the DM says you missed.
Cleric 3 give you level two spells. Cleric 4 for Roberdyck is grants him a feat or ability score improvement. For him I chose Heavy Armor Master. This gives him more of a melee focused feel with +1 to Str, and a damage reduction of 3 from nonmagical weapons that inflict bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage.
Cleric 5 garners level three spells and great ability of Destroy Undead. This level allows him to outright destroy any undead with a CR ½ or lower.
Cleric 6 is the capstone for Roberdyck with the second option of Channel Divinity called War God’s Blessings. As a reaction he can grant a team member +10 to hit after they roll but before the DM says you missed or hit. This is the ultimate way to buff your fellow strikers with his rarely used reaction action.

Standard Cleric Gear with the warhammer, chain mail armor, shield and mace option. As soon as you can you will want to grab a flail and full plate armor.
